Think before cutting down trees!

I was taking my son to school last week on Thursday morning, as I was driving past one of the houses in my neighbourhood, I noticed that they have chopped down all the trees and plants off their property because they are building a wall in front of the house.

I found this really upsetting, some people still do not understand the benefits of having a tree.  Trees reduce soil erosion and are beneficial in ensuring that the soil retains water.

Trees are beneficial in helping to reverse the effects of global warming and the greenhouse effect by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen for us to breath
They provide shade, remember when growing up and all the children used to sit under a tree for storytelling time?
Yes I do understand that we get aliens (non-indigenous trees that deplete the soil), we get trees that are too close to structures like walls or houses and those do need to be removed.

Please think before removing trees, do they need to be removed?  Find out from your local municipality about laws and regulations about trees in surburban areas.  What is allowed or not allowed?
Let us think about the future of our planet for our children's sake.
